  • Investigated implications of syphilis screening in the obstetric population of Southern California, and improvement techniques for screening, diagnosis and treatment in conjunction with community providers and public health professionals.

  • Participated on nursing committees as the physician lead to help identify the reasons why primary cesarean sections were being performed, implementing a checklist based off the California Maternal Quality Care Collaborative
  • Individual resident projects expanded on areas for improvement: elective versus medical inductions, methods of inductions, adequacy of oxytocin usage, and definitive guideline reason for cesarean section, etc.
